The StarTech ST12MHDLNHK HDMI over IP Extender Kit allows users to extend and control HDMI video signals over an existing local area network (LAN) using standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling. This kit is designed for digital signage applications in various environments like offices, restaurants, and retail. It delivers high-definition video up to 1080p (1920x1080) resolution at 60Hz and uses advanced video compression (6-12 Mbps per kit) to conserve network bandwidth. The system is highly scalable, enabling point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint setups with additional receivers, supporting up to 99 different kits on the same network. Control methods are versatile, including IR remote control, a web browser interface, serial cable connection, or built-in DIP switches. The kit includes mounting hardware for professional installation and requires a network switch that supports IGMP snooping for optimal performance.
