The 1-meter LC-LC 50/125 MMD OM5 fibre cable is a high-performance, wideband multimode fiber (WBMMF) optic patch cord designed for high-speed network applications, easily identifiable by its lime green jacket. It features a 50-micron core and 125-micron cladding, optimized for laser-based equipment and fully backward compatible with OM3 and OM4 infrastructures. This cable excels by supporting Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) technology, which allows it to transmit multiple wavelengths simultaneously (850nm to 953nm) over a single fiber pair, efficiently delivering speeds of 40Gbps, 100Gbps, and even 400Gbps with fewer fibers required. Its low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket and bend-insensitive design make it ideal for high-density, indoor installations such as modern data centers and enterprise networks.
