The StarTech SFPGE40KT5R3 is a 100% Juniper-compatible SFP transceiver designed to serve as a direct replacement for the Juniper SFP-GE40KT15R13. This high-performance module provides 1 GbE connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF) for 1000Base-BX40-D compliant networks at distances up to 40 km (24.8 mi). As a bi-directional (BiDi) downstream module, it operates on 1550nm-TX and 1310nm-RX wavelengths to maximize bandwidth by sending and receiving data over a single strand of fiber. The unit is hot-swappable for seamless maintenance and includes Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) to provide real-time status reports to network management tools. Built to meet or exceed MSA industry standards.
